As someone who came from a tropical sunny country, one of the things I look for the most is snow. (of course..) Hot cocoa, winter wonderland, pretty coats. I’m all for the cozy aesthetic of it. Unfortunately with cold season comes…dry skin. My skin tend to become red and itchy and this could be super uncomfortable especially when I go out with my husband or friends. My last blog post about winter skincare was in 2020. I have tried a few products over the past years but these are some of the products I currently keep close to me.

Body

Any body lotion is fine, but Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion has been my favourite since last year. I purchased this just to try and fell in love! It’s moisturizing and absorbs well, plus it doesn’t feel sticky afterwards. The lavender scent is very relaxing and not overpowering. Also, I find the rounded packaging really cute.
Face

I have a confession..I have purchased Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream many times and I can’t imagine using something else (for now). The packaging is so handy, I love how the texture is thick yet it doesn’t feel oily. The subtle scent and the overall performance is amazing. It doesn’t clog my skin and I can use this in other season as well. The only downside is the price which is quite high for the volume. I do have some alternatives in mind and keen on trying them after I finish this.

Lips

I don’t think I need to explain this product. It is THE lip mask from Laneige that everybody loves. This one jar could last me for months so I think it is a good buy.
Hand
For that extra nourishment on areas like knuckles, knees and elbow, Nivea Creme is my favourite. It is thick and hydrates your skin like no other. No wonder this product has been a favourite for decades.
Other

For some extra coolness and hydration, I have this spray from Avene. I usually spray some on my face before skincare and during the day to calm any redness.

Last one is eye drops. It has become the latest addition to my current handbag essentials. Not only it helps with dryness but it also relieves tiredness from looking at the screen. I bring this literally whenever I go out. Super helpful!
Some of these items are purchased through iHerb. I really love their range of products from beauty to health. Their fast shipping to Japan is a bonus! As a muslim, finding suitable supplements can be quite hard but I am so glad they have organic and vegan options.
