March is approaching very soon along with gradual rise in temperature and bluer skies. As January was the pivotal month of fresh starts and new beginnings, getting the momentum is plain sailing. Although my intentions remain unchanged, February was when I had to push myself more, after the New Year highs wear off. I have also been reminding myself to make more memories and document them in either writing, picture or video form.
Winter Trip
After number of times snowboarding, my husband and I went for a laid back winter trip for a while and we took the plunge to just go with it. The road trip took 5 days, and we prepared every possible thing because a. Winter trip can be challenging due to the snow and blizzard and b. Because it was just the two of us, staying alert during the whole trip is a must. Our trip started covers Sendai-Aomori-Akita-Yamagata-Fukushima. The scariest part was driving at night, but thankfully we got home safe and on time.
In February, we went on a caravan trip with some of our friends. It was my first time being on a caravan and I was actually pleasantly surprised of the functionality and how much space you can make use of inside.

Managing Small Business
After a much needed hiatus to restructure and reevaluate, I have reopened my small business and managed to get engagements from customers. I was nervous about getting back the pace after a break but everything is more manageable, thanks to what I learned from the past year.
Tracking My Spending
I made sure to document any personal expense to fully understand where my money goes to because I’m trying to save more these days. Although I forget sometimes, I make sure to write it down somewhere else first. This has given me a clearer picture of my personal money flow and a good reminder not to overspend. There are many free apps and Excel templates available for budget tracking. Printables are great options too if you prefer physical records. No matter how you do it, tracking your spending is a good habit to start today.
Best purchase
I have to admit that I underestimated my Mont Bell Super Merino Wool Balaclava. I purchased this on a whim when I was looking for something to keep my head and neck warm while snowboarding. Because hijab slips off easily, I opted for this balaclava and it truly did the job. My hair is also kept in place, thanks to the material. I totally recommend investing in this.
