Current Handbag Essentials
Hi loves, how are you guys coping? I’ve been well, woke up a bit late today. My head was hurting bad last night, I suspect it from the excessive amount of time I spent in front of the monitor yesterday. It’s summer here now so days are a bit warmer but I like it. It reminds me of home.
The contents of my handbag were roughly the same for many years; purse, phone, overused hand cream that probably had been too long inside the bag. Just the basics. Until when the pandemic happened, a few additions are much needed.
Here are the things I can never leave home without:
I just moved to a new place and still unfamiliar with the area, driving around without Google Maps would be a disaster! Also, Spotify is a MUST.
I bought my Charles & Keith purse in dark green back in Malaysia few years ago as a birthday present to myself. It stores all my cards and has a coin compartment too. This is such a great buy, the quality is excellent and it’s still in great condition.
My hand cream is from Innisfree, it smells so fresh and leaves no sticky feeling. Also, the scent isn’t too intense so it’s perfect for daily use. Colder seasons would demand more hydrating hand cream as my hands get parched fast.

You’ll never know when you need to write stuff!
I purchased this sanitizer from Matsumoto Kiyoshi, a famous Japanese drugstore a while ago because it has a clip which easily attaches to my bag. Also, I prefer sanitizer with no strong scent so this is a perfect choice.
My lip products in my bag varies from just a Peripera Lip Tint to 5 different lipsticks. Why? Trust me, I don`t know!
My brows are super thin so this is vital to make me look alive. I love that it washes off easily with water so there’s no rubbing needed when taking wudhu. I can always reapply this afterwards. You can get this from Etude House.
I always bring extra mask just in case I’m out for the whole day or my mask fall down (it happened a few times) This Ask Earth Mask is made in Korea and can be purchased from Amazon, it’s a KF94 mask. The fit is better than normal sheet mask. Thanks to the shape, the mask doesn’t touch your lips so there is minimal lipstick transfer.
I can never emphasize how crucial my Daiso mask extender to me. I have tried multiple extenders and I find myself reaching this most of the time. I like that it’s adjustable. As a hijabi, it can be challenging to find an extender that is durable. This is the least glamorous extender but it’s comfortable and lasts long.
Also, the mask is washable. For ¥100, I’m super satisfied.
I have been practicing mindfulness with my spending for a while now to avoid any unnecessary purchase. Having a small handbag also helps me carry only the essentials. Although my essentials may not be trendy items but I love using them all the time.
