Assalamualaikum and happy Tuesday! I’m forcing myself out of laziness and never-ending procrastination to do this post. I’ve been wanting to do an update since Sunday but I got “stuck” in time watching TV series…we’ve all been there, right?
So updates on my life, work is still pretty hard for me. Especially on the communication part. Working in a foreign country that doesn’t use English at all is straight up hard. But I’m still trying to manage and trying not to be too hard on myself. Just praying that I get to be given fair amount of strength to overcome this inshaAllah..
Last weekend I had a plan of going to my friend’s place in Osaka on Friday. Did the usual; bought bus tickets, packed my stuff and left work early. Well unfortunately there was a typhoon and heavy rain going on in Southern Japan and many of the public transportation operation was disrupted that day. Instead of going to the bus station on my way back home, I stopped by this mall and there was this plant shop. You see, I’ve always wanted to grow plants on my own but I’m quite sure I don’t really have green thumbs…that we know of yet! So I decided to buy a grown up plant instead of planting it from seeds. In other words, I adopted some plants. They are my adopted children. I have kids now.
At this point, I have purchased 4 plants. In a month. Having a living thing inside your house does make it feel less lonely in a way. Wanted to have a pet but my landlord doesn’t allow pet so I don’t want to take any risk as I’ll be working from 8-6. Who knows what might happen kan?
Back to my plants aka my babiesssss. Here are some pictures of them!
This is my first plant! Bought this in a mall, wasn’t planning on buying one but then I stumbled across this plant shop and decided to get one on the spot. Typical me hehe
The second one is this コケ玉 which translate as “moss ball” as the rounded shape dirt is covered in moss. It’s quite pricy for it’s size but is the easiest to take care of. Just need to make sure the moss ball is damp at all time! So no worries about overwatering/underwatering it too much.
Third baby is this leafy plant(ok I need to learn plant names) I placed just right next to my TV. Adds a pop of colour as most of my furniture is light coloured. The leaves are so green and waxy looking I thought they were fake at first!
Last but not least, this huge ass plant/tree? Ok I didn’t know it would be THIS tall placed next to my standing mirror! I imagined it being a teeeeny shorter but kinda loving it now
Plus point, plants clean the air so me getting ready every morning = me breathing extra fresh air :p
Will my skin become smoother?
Will my life problems magically go away with the presence of living green in my bedroom?
Damn I wish so.
Thank you for reading! xoxo
